The real power of neodymium magnets

Among the office supplies, which, besides knives and industrial connectors, are another very important part of Mikov's production program, include magnets. Of course, these can be common ones, which we offer in various colors, but also neodymium, which is an interesting material.
Neodymium magnets are made of a mixture of neodymium, iron, and boron. The combination of the three elements creates the strongest type of permanent magnet that can carry up to 1000 times its own weight. This of course immediately offers a wide range of applications.
The most common is the application of neodymium magnets on glass magnetic sheets. However, they are also suitable for fixing window nets against insects or other objects on a metal substrate. Our neodymium magnet is just a small cube with an edge length of 1 centimeter, weighing just over 7 grams, but can carry 5.1 kilograms.
But even neodymium magnets have their pitfalls, which we must point out. On the one hand, they should not be exposed to a temperature higher than 80 degrees Celsius because they then lose their magnetic properties. And the next one concerns safety. They need to be treated very carefully. Their strong magnetic field can erase data on recording media or damage computers and monitors. And the attraction of a neodymium magnet is so great that when you approach a metal part, and you forget your finger in your way, it can really hurt.
Anyway - you need to try it!
