Mikov supports activities that help the town of Mikulášovice and the whole Šluknov region

Industrial and technological development and ideas are very much tied to how people feel their creativity is received. Mikov contributes to the active and rich social life in which such new ideas are born by supporting interesting projects and talented personalities.

The most visible recent event that Mikov directly initiated was the Knife Festival in August. These brought not only legends of Czech and Czechoslovak soccer and representatives of local associations and organisations, but also exclusive guests from the Czech Army to the Mikulášovice swimming pool and football stadium.

In the presence of General Lenka Šmerdová, who is responsible for the care of war veterans within the army command, it was possible to watch demonstrations of knife fighting elements and see the equipment of the elite chemical unit from Liberec. All this is also thanks to the fact that Mikov is a long-term partner of the Army of the Czech Republic and systematically supports this fund with the proceeds from the sale of special edition knives War Veteran.

Systematicity and positive impact on the immediate surroundings and the city is the basic rule by which Mikov decides which activity to support financially. After all, every visitor to Mikulášovice will see this for themselves when they visit the Museum of Knife Tradition and the knife shop in the building of the Town Information Centre.

The exhibition of knifemaking and small industrial production in the Šluknov region, built and developed at the company's expense, contains many unique exhibits and brings thousands of tourists to the town every year. These not only benefit local small businesses, but also spread positive awareness of Mikulášovice in the Czech Republic and abroad.

Although Mikov obviously cannot change the social climate of the town on his own, he feels responsible for it and helps in other activities, more about which next time.
