War veteran project

The war veteran project is a joint activity of the company Mikov and the Military Solidarity Fund of the Army of the Czech Republic. It started on July 25, 2019 in the presence of Army General Aleš Opata and the chairperson of the Military Solidarity Fund, Brig. general Lenka Šmerdová. Its goal is to connect the memory of the heroism of the soldiers of the Army of the Czech Republic with actual help to those in need.

The project is based on the thematic releases of special editions of knives inspired by significant events in the history of the Czech army. From the sale of each piece of knife included in the War Veteran project, part of the price is transferred to the Military Solidarity Fund. So far, the last knife that was introduced to the public was the Golak. This happened on May 2, 2024 in the DAP Hotel in the presence of Lieutenant General Karel Řehka. On that occasion, Mikov handed over a symbolic check for 150,000 crowns to the representatives of the Military Solidarity Fund. The total amount of contribution from the project already exceeded 400.000CZK in the spring of 2024.
